PRINT DESIGN + EDITORIAL 2025 THESIS
CALARTS MFA THESIS
A thesis book, as a physical format, documenting research, experiments, and theoretical reflections
A mobile website, serving as a digital archive for ongoing research and showcasing the process;
An installation (toolkit) that physically presents the six tools I worked with, demonstrating how tool deconstruction and visual translation can create a new interaction with the audience.
CALARTS MFA THESIS
A thesis book, as a physical format, documenting research, experiments, and theoretical reflections
A mobile website, serving as a digital archive for ongoing research and showcasing the process;
An installation (toolkit) that physically presents the six tools I worked with, demonstrating how tool deconstruction and visual translation can create a new interaction with the audience.
My thesis grows from a long-standing interest in everyday objects and tools, aiming to disrupt conventional ways of finding design inspiration. By closely observing and deconstructing common hardware tools, I extract their physical structures and gestures, translating them into a visual language that feeds back into graphic design practice.
This approach re-examines how tools are used and invites designers to reconsider how we understand and work with “tools from everyday life”, reconnecting the body and perception to the design process.
